Nashville recording artist, Scott Carey, originally from South Florida, has been around music his entire life. The son of a drummer (Dan Carey), who also currently handles percussion for Scott, together, bring good vibes and upbeat sounds to an already familiar set. Scott grew up listening to Dad’s band rehearsals in the basement and was taught to play the drums at an early age. About the age of 16, Scott transitioned to guitar and shortly thereafter found his vocal capabilities.

From Jimmy Buffet to Matchbox 20, Scott kept a slew of his favorites on standby for whenever the moment would strike. Being recruited by Elite Model Management at 17, Scott traveled abroad where he met a guitar player and co-songwriter Dylan Kay. They would go on to form the band Wanton Soup and would sign a recording deal with Sony/Epic. Recording and touring became the way of life for the band and brushing elbows with music royalty was something Scott encountered on occasion. Moving to Nashville in 2010, Scott made a change to his sound and genre crossing over from the 90’s rock to a more homegrown Americana Country sound. “I feel getting back to family roots and writing songs from personal experiences fit with this Nashville country genre.” Says Scott.

Scott’s latest full album entitled “Long Road to Nashville” released under his own record label, Longroad Records, was released in 2012 and is available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, etc. Scott Carey, Lead vocals, guitar Wanton Soup Sony/Epic Scott Carey.
